How Our Scholarships and Personal Development Awards Work

Every year, we recognize and honor selected students at Arvada, Edgewater or Wheat Ridge area high schools. They receive recognition for their accomplishments throughout their education. The students are acknowledged for their resilience in the face of hard times and for overcoming academic and personal obstacles. Students in grades six through twelve may be eligible to receive a $400 Personal Development Grant that can be put toward an educational program or activity that will help their growth and success. Upon completion of the nomination process, select seniors can receive up to $5,000 in scholarship funds to attend Red Rocks Community College.

Get Involved in Students’ Lives

At AWRSAY, community is key. We could not do what we do for students if it weren’t for the teachers, counselors, and other community members and organizations who get involved. If you’d like to get involved in improving one or more students’ lives, please get in touch. We have plenty of volunteer and donation opportunities. Or you can nominate a student for a scholarship or award. Regardless of how you get involved, it’ll matter more than you might know.
